Ei: New Mission Statement | A Regenerative Direction

During nearly two decades of making an impact, Earth Impact (Ei) traveled within spirals. Each turn returns Ei to foundational roots, yet at an expanded level of insight, integration, and purpose. With the May 2026 Earth’s Digestive System (EDS) launch, Ei spirals within the early Green Foodservice Alliance (GFA) Producer Taskforce endeavors; the GFA was Ei’s predecessor organization. The renewed soil focus is enriched by decades of systems-thinking, corporate waste refinement, and regenerative advocacy.

The journey began with clear intentions: to bring order and stewardship to complex resource streams. Through the Era of Recycling Refinement (2010 inception – 2017), Ei established that industry integrity was possible and often profitable. As Ei transitioned into the Era of Regeneration (2017 – 2024), the focus expanded from managing waste to regenerative soil and water systems—recognizing that aligning with The Principles of Nature was a prerequisite for restoring biological health.

The Principles of Nature serve as the benchmark for Ei initiatives. As presented in the Regeneration in ACTION Magazine article, The Principles of Nature: Biological Governance for Human and Ecological Systems, Ei defines The Principles of Nature across three broad categories:

  • Diversity & The Right to Flourish
  • Dynamic Balance & Nutrition Cycles
  • Necessity of Cover & Ability to Roam.

By prioritizing these fundamental biological imperatives, Ei ensures that human-led interventions support—rather than disrupt—the delicate metabolic balance of the local environment; the principles serve as the foundation for global ecological health.

The EDS reveals a vital truth: the Earth is not a resource to be managed; it is a living organism with a functioning metabolism. Thus, Ei embraces an evolved mission that aligns human systems with the Earth’s natural capacity to ingest, digest, and regenerate:

To foster long-term community resilience by driving actions that align economic systems with biological health. Through education and collaboration, Ei establishes the Principles of Nature as the standard for ecological and societal security.

By recognizing the EDS as the planet’s engine for health, Ei moves beyond the limitations of synthetic interventions. By shifting focus to regenerative potential, Ei fosters conditions where humanity may thrive as Nature Prevails. Thus, Ei embraces a commitment to biological craftsmanship that ensures long-term environmental and societal security for all.

About Earth Impact:
Earth Impact (formerly Elemental Impact) (Ei) is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2010. Ei served as the home to the Zero Waste Zones, the national forerunner for the commercial collection of food waste for compost. In June 2017, Ei announced the Era of Recycling Refinement was Mission Accomplished and entered the Era of Regeneration (2017–2024), focusing on Nature Prevails, Soil Health | Regenerative Agriculture, and Water Use | Toxicity.

As Ei transitioned into the Era of Impact (June 2024–present), the business model shifted to Ei Educates. While projects and pilots remain foundational, the primary focus is now the dissemination of regenerative knowledge. The Earth’s Digestive System (EDS) serves as the overarching focus area, providing a unified framework where biological health drives environmental security. Within this framework, the Water Use | Toxicity platform evolved into the Water Security platform in March 2025.

The Holly Elmore Images portfolio documents the Rewilding Urban Landscapes Pilots, including the Native-Plant Landscape Pilot and the Backyard Food Forest Pilot. These active Sarasota-based sites serve as the primary educational laboratories for Ei endeavors.

MISSION:
To foster long-term community resilience by driving actions that align economic systems with biological health. Through education and collaboration, Ei establishes the Principles of Nature as the standard for ecological and societal security.

Ei’s tagline—Regeneration in ACTION—is the foundation for Ei endeavors.

The Ei Core Mantra:
Ei is a creator, an incubator.
Ei determines what could be done that is not being done and gets it done.
Ei brings the possible out of impossible.
Ei identifies pioneers and creates heroes.

Sweet 16: Earth Impact Navigates the 17th Year of Influence

On February 15, 2026, Earth Impact (Ei) officially crossed the sixteen-year threshold. Now firmly established in the seventeenth year of operation, the organization celebrates a legacy defined by agility and an unwavering commitment to regenerative systems. While the 15th anniversary passed without a formal digital tribute, the arrival of "Sweet 16" marks a sophisticated new chapter for the Ei mission.

Formerly Elemental Impact, Ei is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2010 as the home to the Zero Waste Zones (ZWZ) the forerunner in the nation for the commercial collection of food waste for compost.

In June 2017, Ei announced the Era of Recycling Refinement was "Mission Accomplished" and entered the Era of Regeneration (June 2017 – June 2024). The subsequent transition into the Era of Impact (June 2024 – June 2031) reflects an organization consistently evolving to meet the most pressing environmental challenges of the decade.

From Documentation to Autonomy
The years following the 2020 global shift served as a period of profound reflection. Coinciding with the Ei Ten-Year Anniversary, the Regeneration in ACTION (RiA) Magazine Decade of Impact article series meticulously documented the evolution of Ei—from the foundational History and Background to the pivotal Era of Recycling Refinement and the subsequent Era of Regeneration.

The Holly Elmore Images Decade of Impact Galleries consist of a series of three photo galleries that support each of the referenced RiA Ei Era articles. The comprehensive project preserved the "institutional memory" of a decade that redefined how industries view waste and soil health.

Today, Ei moves beyond the era of documentation into a phase of streamlined, high-level impact. The current momentum favors strategic partnerships and global grants over the administrative burdens of the past. The "Sweet 16" milestone represents more than just longevity; it signifies the maturity of an organization that has successfully "untangled" from legacy constraints to focus on the pure work of environmental advocacy.

A Legacy of Leading by Example
Since the publication of The IMPACT Ei 2020: A Year of Celebration article, the world changed, yet one of the Ei mantras—bringing the possible out of impossible—remains the North Star. The sixteen-year journey is evident in the rigorous data within the RiA Magazine, the burgeoning international collaborations in Nepal, and the extensive media documentation of the LAI FL Suncoast Sarasota Land Optimization Tours and the Water Challenges, Economics, and Nature-Based Solutions Land Economics Dialogues (LED).

In the current Era of Impact, the historical achievements serve as a foundation for scaling innovative solutions into standard practices. The organizational trajectory reflects a shift toward higher-level influence, where the wisdom of the past sixteen years informs the strategic partnerships of the future.

Looking Ahead: The 17th Year and Beyond
As the Era of Impact continues to unfold, the focus remains on "The IMPACT." The organization celebrates sixteen years of being the "spark" that ignites regenerative change. With the wisdom of nearly two decades and the energy of a new independent pathEi enters the seventeenth year ready to scale the possible into the standard.
